1. The short version
Your documents are never uploaded to Filix. Every conversion runs inside your browser. We keep a small activity log containing file names, your IP address, the city it maps to and your browser — never file contents.
2. Who we are
Filix is operated by Prospect Digital, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. For any privacy question, write to the address on our Contact page.
3. Your files
All processing is performed locally by JavaScript running in your browser. Your PDF, image or signature file is read into your browser memory, transformed, and written back to your device. At no point is the file, or any part of it, transmitted to our servers or to any third party. When you close the tab, that memory is released and nothing remains.
Because of this, we cannot recover a file for you, and we cannot see what you converted.
4. What we do record
When you use a tool, Filix records a single log row containing:
- the tool used and the date and time;
- the name of the file you selected (for example statement-july.pdf);
- the name of the file the tool produced, if you downloaded it;
- the approximate file size;
- your IP address, and the city, region and country that IP maps to;
- your browser and operating system, as reported by your browser.
We use this to see which tools are popular, to spot failures, and to protect the service from abuse. The site administrator can switch off IP recording entirely from the admin panel.
5. City lookup
To show a city instead of a bare IP address, your IP is sent to a third-party IP geolocation service (currently ip-api.com). Only the IP address is sent. No file name and nothing about your document is included. The result is cached so the same address is looked up only once.
6. Contact form
If you write to us through the contact form we store the name, email, phone number, subject and message you provide, plus your IP address and city, so we can reply. We do not add you to any mailing list and we do not sell or share this data.
7. Cookies
The public tools set no tracking cookies. A session cookie is used only in the admin area, and only for signed-in administrators. If Google Analytics has been enabled by the site owner, Google may set its own cookies — that is disclosed here so you can block them if you wish.
8. How long we keep things
Activity log rows are deleted automatically after the retention period set by the administrator (180 days by default). Contact form messages are kept until we have dealt with them and for a reasonable period afterwards.
9. Your rights
You may ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to us using the contact page and we will respond within a reasonable time.
10. Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
