1. Acceptance
By using Filix you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. What Filix provides
Filix provides free browser-based utilities for working with PDF and image files. The tools run on your own device. We provide the web page; your browser does the work.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use Filix only with files you own or are authorised to handle. In particular:
- You may not use the Unlock PDF tool on a document you are not entitled to open. That tool removes a password you already know; it does not defeat security you do not have the right to remove.
- You may not use Filix to process material that is illegal, infringing, or obtained without permission.
- You may not attempt to attack, overload, scrape at scale, or reverse the site or its infrastructure.
4. No warranty
Filix is provided as is and free of charge. We make no promise that a tool will produce a particular result, that it will work with every file, or that the site will always be available. File conversion is inherently lossy in places — always keep your original.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, loss of profit, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Filix. Because your files never reach us, you remain solely responsible for keeping your own backups.
6. Intellectual property
The Filix name, design and site content belong to Prospect Digital. The open-source libraries used by the tools remain the property of their authors under their own licences. Your documents remain entirely yours.
7. Changes and availability
We may add, change, or withdraw any tool at any time, and we may update these terms. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction.
